Field agents, in contact with customers, can't afford spending to much time with activities not focused on their main task. They need hardware and software which supports them on their work, is easy to use and delivers needed data quickly.
The 80:20 formula
Perfect result will only be achieved, if the solution is fitted to your special needs. But still some functions in each application are used by other customers as well. sLAB therefore divides strictly into customized and general tasks. In our projects we assert that about 80% can be made as an standard solution, only 20% have to be individual customized or developed. These 80% are bundled in the sMOTIVE Productline sMOTIVE Middleware and in the standard scenarios. The sMOTIVE Middleware build the core for each solution. It is responsible for data storage, connections to the company system and the distribution to the clients. All web based and mobile applications build with sMOTIVE base on this system structure, which offers an stable, exact and quick solution individually formed for your company and users.
The sMOTIVE Middleware server
The heart of the sMOTIVE Middleware is the sMOTIVE Middleware server. Via connectors the middleware build a connection to your company network – including relational data bases as well as ERP-systems other business solutions. On the server all data necessary for the clients are stored. This allows an easy software administration and management:
the sMOTIVE Middleware server logs all transactions and inputs between server and client. This ensures short synchronization times and maximizes data security, because only needed data changes will be made.

Intelligent system architecture for quick development
Modular structure for more flexibility
The heart of the sMOTIVE Middleware is the information processing logic. It consist of the persistence manager with the database, the object handler, which controls the system logic, the transaction manager, the service player and the conflict handler. Around this core all other components are placed: The exchange infrastructure for connection with the company network, the communication layer for data exchange, all customized components and of course all applications.
All of these components are enclosed modules, they imply all necessary functions and they are strictly separated of the design of the graphic user interface. A sMOTIVE application is is produced by attaching functionality modules with a process workflow control and configure them by the modeling language XML. This system architecture has many advantages: Single components can be quickly changed, customizing needs only small efforts, nether less all applications are optimized to the company infrastructure, given devices and the chosen connection.

Individual standard scenarios
The component based system architecture allows ready-made individual solutions. By combining standard modules covering well defined tasks and function blocks Controlling the process, sLAB is able to map 80% of frequently field agents task with standard scenarios. Within a project these standard scenarios build the base of the following optimizing to the company's requests.
Because there is a almost full functional prototype right from the start, all following adjustments made by modeling and description, not by development, can be made related to practice.
The result are applications running from day one in a productive system. By implicating all affected employees, the whole system is straightened to their needs without. Still this solutions are flexible: If requirements change, the applications can be changed fast and easily. The ready-made individual solution changes with the system during the whole lifetime circle.
